2026年7月12-14日，在德國萊比錫（Leipzig）舉辦「首屆劉曉波人權獎頒獎典禮暨中國憲政民主討論會」，主辦社團：歐洲之聲（德國）、中國研究（英國）。會議通過YouTube實況傳播，讓自由民主的聲音傳遍萬水千山。
7月13日，是諾貝爾和平獎獲得者劉曉波逝世九周年的祭日，對中國人來說，「七•一三祭日」使它成為一個文化和歷史的符號，成為世人每年不忘紀念劉曉波的祭日。劉曉波是一位和平爭抗的先行者，將畢生獻給了爭取中國新聞與言論自由，獻給了推動中國的憲政民主運動。
2026年的紀念活動為什麼選擇了萊比錫的聖尼古拉教堂？
1989年10月9日星期一下午5點，萊比錫聖尼古拉教堂內湧進大批民眾，參與富勒牧師主持的「和平禱告」。禱告結束後，每人手持象征和平的燭火魚貫走出，萊比錫市民也自動自發加入，走上街頭的百姓高達7萬人，軍警未發一槍，示威以和平收場。往後的數週，每個星期一下午5點，萊比錫市民都湧向聖尼古拉教堂周圍，萬人空巷，參加人數往往超過數十萬，萊比錫「週一示威」是拉倒何內克政權的最後一根稻草，終於在11月間結束了東德40年的紅色統治。
劉曉波先生是我們心中的燈塔，他用一生的行動和思想，為中國的民主自由事業作出了不可磨滅的貢獻。2026年這個特殊的日子裏，讓我們再次在聖尼古拉斯教堂中集結，不僅是為了紀念和緬懷，更是為了團結和行動，繼承劉曉波遺志，並舉行「和平禱告」，為未來的鬥爭，開啟新的征程，挑戰與結束中共專制政權，建設中國的憲政民主政權。
我們今年共同的活動中，就是一次繼承遺志，傳承聖火的行動，不僅凝聚力量，分享彼此思考，碰撞出智慧火花，共同探討如何在新時代背景下，如何更好的推動民主和自由事業的發展，我們期望：一定能夠將劉曉波先生的理想變為現實，推動我們的社會走向更加公正、自由和繁榮的未來。
我們永遠不會忘卻劉曉波，他是中國自由、民主、良知、勇敢的象征。我們作家朋友和自由民主運動的同行們，已經在肯彭（2017年）、柏林（2018 年）、肯彭（2019 年）、科隆（2020 年）、漢堡（2021 年）、倫敦（2022年）、肯彭（2023 年）、倫敦（2024年）、巴黎（2025年）多次為劉曉波組織了年度追悼會。

7月13日上午9:00-12:00點在Hotel會議廳，舉行活動開幕式與舉行劉曉波逝世九周年紀念研討會。
7月13日下午13:30-16:30點，老交易所（Alte Handelsbörse），表彰與授於首屆（2026年）劉曉波人權獎儀式（獎金10000美元），並通過YouTube實況傳播，讓更多遭受中共獨裁統治脅迫的民族與人民參與進來。
7月13日下午17:00-18:00點，在聖尼古拉教堂舉行「和平祈禱會」，對全社會開放，庫訥牧師主持和平禱告。
7月14日上午9:00-12:00點（Hotel會議廳）繼續研討會，謀劃各民族各社團合作的具體行動，作出會議決議，及閉幕式。

The “Inaugural Liu Xiaobo Human Rights Award Ceremony and Symposium on Constitutional Democracy in China” will be held in Leipzig, Germany, from July 12 to 14, 2026. The event is organized by Sino Euro Voices e.V. (Germany) and China Studies (UK). The proceedings will be broadcast live via YouTube, carrying the voice of freedom and democracy across the globe.
July 13 marks the ninth anniversary of the passing of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo. For the Chinese people, this date has become a significant cultural and historical symbol—a day when the world remembers Liu Xiaobo. Liu was a pioneer of peaceful resistance who dedicated his life to the struggle for press freedom and freedom of speech in China, and to advancing the movement for constitutional democracy in the country.
Why was St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig chosen as the venue for the 2026 commemorative events?
At 5:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 1989, crowds of people streamed into St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig to participate in “Prayers for Peace” led by Pastor Führer. After the prayers, participants filled out holding candles—symbols of peace—and were spontaneously joined by other citizens; the number of people taking to the streets swelled to 70,000. Without a single shot fired by military or police, the demonstration concluded peacefully. In the weeks that followed, Leipzig citizens flocked to the area around St. Nicholas Church every Monday at 5:00 PM, with turnout often exceeding hundreds of thousands. The Leipzig “Monday Demonstrations” proved to be the final straw that toppled the Honecker regime, ultimately ending forty years of Communist rule in East Germany that November.
Mr. Liu Xiaobo stands as a beacon in our hearts; through his lifelong actions and ideas, he made an indelible contribution to the cause of democracy and freedom in China. On this significant occasion in 2026, let us gather once again at St. Nicholas Church—not merely to commemorate and remember, but to unite and take action. We gather to carry on Liu Xiaobo’s legacy and hold “Prayers for Peace,” embarking on a new journey of struggle to build a constitutional democracy in China.
Liu Xiaobo stands as a symbol of freedom, democracy, conscience, and courage in China. Together, our fellow writers and colleagues have organized annual memorial services for Liu Xiaobo in numerous locations—including Kempen (2017, 2019, 2023), Berlin (2018), Cologne (2020), Hamburg (2021), London (2022, 2024), Paris (2025) and Leipzig (2026).
