今天大家聚在一起，是為了紀念西藏人民抵抗中共的暴力鎮壓。這個日子證明西藏人民不是軟弱的民族，而是一個充滿了正義感和勇氣的民族，是不會被暴力鎮壓折服的民族。同時也證明了中共不是一個講道理的政權，而是一個非法的種族滅絕的侵略者。
幾百年來，漢藏人民之間的關係是互相學習、和睦相處的關系。是中國共產黨的暴行鎮壓了藏族人民，而不是漢族人民鎮壓了藏族人民，不是民族矛盾引起了鎮壓的暴行。所以達賴喇嘛要求大家走中間道路，而不是把事情扭曲成為民族矛盾。中間道路的精神，就是把目標對準共產黨的暴行，而民族之間永遠維持互相學習、和睦相處的關係。現在的形勢下，漢藏人民要團結共同抵抗共產黨的暴政；將來漢藏人民也要維持和睦相處、共同發展的局面，而不是互相敵對的局面。
而中共的陰謀，正是要把他們對漢藏各族人民的鎮壓和破壞，轉移成為民族矛盾，以此掩蓋他們的罪行。在西藏人民遭受種族滅絕的同時，或者更早，漢族人民也因為共產黨的罪惡行為，餓死了幾千萬人。在鎮壓了藏族人民的起義之後，共產黨發動文革和計劃生育，對漢族人民實行了大規模的迫害。漢藏各族人民同樣是共產黨迫害和屠殺的對象，所以應該團結一致對付共同的敵人共產黨，而不能以民族主義的借口互相對立。挑撥各族人民互相對立，正是共產黨讓我們互相對立，互相抵消的陰謀，我們不應該上共產黨的當。
達賴喇嘛始終保持著民族和解共同對敵的態度，這是中間道路的精髓。我們大家都應該清醒自己的頭腦，不受中共的挑撥，認清共同的敵人，目標明確地開展抗暴反共的鬥爭，迎接共同發展、和睦相處的新時代來臨。
The Dalai Lama’s Stance of Maintaining Reconciliation and a Joint Resistance Against the Enemy is the Essence of the Middle Way Approach

Dear friends,
Today, we gather here to commemorate the Tibetan people’s resistance against the violent suppression of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This day proves that the Tibetan people are not weak, but full of justice and courage that will not be subdued by violent suppression. It also proves that the CCP is not a reasonable regime, but an illegal aggressor committing genocide.
For hundreds of years, the relationship between the Han Chinese and Tibetan people has been one of mutual learning and harmonious coexistence. It was the Chinese Communist Party’s atrocities that suppressed the Tibetan people, not the Han Chinese. It was not ethnic conflict that caused the atrocities of suppression. Therefore, His Holiness the Dalai Lama asks everyone to follow the Middle Way Approach, rather than distorting the issue into an ethnic conflict. The spirit of the Middle Way Approach is to target the CCP’s atrocities while maintaining a relationship of mutual learning and harmonious coexistence between ethnic groups. In the current situation, the Han Chinese and Tibetan peoples must unite to resist the tyranny of the CCP. In the future, we should maintain a state of harmonious coexistence and common development, not mutual hostility.
However, the CCP’s conspiracy is precisely to shift the blame for its suppression and destruction against the Han Chinese and Tibetan peoples onto ethnic conflicts, thereby covering up its crimes. While the Tibetan people suffered genocide, at the same time or even earlier, tens of millions of Han Chinese starved to death due to the CCP’s atrocities. After suppressing the Tibetan uprising in 1959, the CCP launched the Cultural Revolution and the one-child policy, carrying out large-scale persecution of the Han Chinese. The Han and Tibetan peoples are also targets of persecution and massacre by the CCP, so we should unite against our common enemy, the CCP, and not use nationalism as a pretext for mutual antagonism. The CCP’s attempt to incite conflict among different ethnic groups is precisely a conspiracy to pit us against each other and neutralize each other. We should not fall for the tricks of the CCP.
The Dalai Lama has consistently maintained a stance of ethnic reconciliation and joint resistance against the enemy. This is the essence of the Middle Way Approach. We should all keep our minds clear to resist the CCP’s instigation, to recognize our common enemy, and to carry out the struggle against tyranny and the CCP with a clear objective, so as to usher in a new era of common development and harmonious coexistence.
